Perimeter School Eclipse Viewing Details

On Monday, August 21st, we will have eclipse events for fourth through eighth grade and Adventure students to view the eclipse with certified protective eclipse glasses. The events will occur on campus (except for a small group of 5th grade students) from 1:45 PM to 4:00 PM. PARENTS MUST SIGN AND RETURN A WAIVER BY MONDAY MORNING, AUGUST 21ST TO PERMIT THEIR CHILD TO PARTICIPATE IN THE OUTDOOR ECLIPSE ACTIVITIES.

Some 5th grade students will be traveling to Rabun Gap.

4th and 6th - 8th grades will dismiss at 4:00 PM (regular carpool procedures will be followed).

Adventure Program may choose Noon or 4:00 PM dismissal.

Middle School Details:
  • Students will have abbreviated academic classes (35 minutes).
  • In the morning 7th and 8th grades will attend 1st - 6th periods.
  • 6th grade will have a slightly altered schedule.
  • Students will learn about the majesty and glory of our Creator by examining various aspects of the eclipse.
  • From 1:44 - 4:00 PM students will have the opportunity to view the eclipse on the field located by the track.
  • Games and various sporting activities will be included from 1:44 - 4:00 PM.
  • Safety glasses have been ordered for every middle school student.
  • Parents are invited to attend the afternoon activities. Glasses, however, will not be provided for parents.
