The Gift of Sub-average Parenting

In an effort to equip and encourage parents in our community, Perimeter School invites you to our open campus meeting as Jeff Shulte unveils how our brokenness actually aids us in providing just what our kids truly need. Holy Mountain, a Nashville-based duo, will provide our music for the evening. This group merges unconventional, musical creativity with honest lyrics that give language to the church in a fresh way.

Perimeter Middle School Bridge Program Informational Meeting
January 23rd at 8:30 AM in the Middle School Library
Is your 5th, 6th, or 7th grade child struggling to study on his own? Does she have difficulty remembering to do homework or wait to to the last minute to do projects? Do you think that your child's grades don't reflect his intelligence?
If you answered YES to any of these questions, Perimeter's Middle School Bridge Program can help. Beginning in the 2018-2019 shool year, students participating the Bridge program are not required to have an EdPsych report completed (though it is still highly recommended and beneficial for planning accommodations). There will be limited spots in each grade level.
Through strategically teaching study, executive function, and advocacy skills, the Perimeter School Bridge Program is helping students learn the skills needed to take on the responsibility for their own learning. When students are able to manage their time, work efficiently to complete their studies, and experience both success and failure, they are more equipped and confident to tackle the academic challenges that await them.
The Bride Program includes:
  • 5 study skills classes per week
  • 5 study hall classes a week
  • Weekly parent updates
  • Weekly observation of your child in subject matter classes
  • Peer notes
  • Test-taking lab -- with accommodations
Please reply to Kay Lee with your child's name and rising grade level (for 2018 - 2019 if you will be attending.

Age of Opportunity Book Study

Are you a middle school mom looking for fellowship, encouragement, and equipping? Please join us as we study Paul Tripp's powerful book, Age of Opportunity. Tripp writes that adolescence "are the years of penetrating questions, the years of wonderful discussions never before possible. These are the years of failure and struggle that put a teen's true heart on the table. These are the years of daily ministry and of great opportunity [for parents and teachers]" (p19). All middle school moms are welcome to join us as we study this book together on Thursday mornings from 8:30 - 9:30 AM in the middle school lunch room. Books are available for purchase in the Perimeter Church Bookstore. Questions? Contact Jana Mock.
