Welcome, New Teachers
Tiffany Presten - Second Grade
Hello! I am so excited to join the Perimeter School family this year, both as a teacher and a parent! I am married to Ben, and we have five amazing children ranging in age from 6 to 17. We are a church planting family, and that calling moved us from our home in Gwinnett County to Vermont in 2012. Most recently, we have moved to Johns Creek, where we are in the process of starting a new church! My teaching career began in Gwinnett County Public Schools nearly 20 years ago. After taking some time off to be home with my kids, I started teaching again at a classical co-op in Vermont, where I taught for almost 10 years. During this time, I fell in love with both the classical and Charlotte Mason philosophies of education. I am looking forward to partnering with families to help students mature in Christ as we behold Him in all that we study.
Kristin Lescalleet - EIGHTH GRADE LANGUAGE ARTS
Dear Eighth Grade Parents - My name is Kristin Lescalleet, and I am the new eighth grade language arts teacher. Here's a little bit about me. I have been married for 28 years. I have three grown kids, and in May, I became a grandmother! I enjoy hiking, gardening, reading, and attending musical concerts. Although I'm not technically a new teacher at Perimeter School (I taught second grade last year), I am new to the middle school. I taught high school English for many years and am excited to teach language arts again. Reading and writing are passions of mine that I hope to pass along to the students.
Katy Southern - ART
After earning my Master’s in Art Education from the University of Tennessee (Go VOLS!), I spent about seven years teaching elementary and middle school art. In addition to teaching, I’ve worked as a photographer and painter, and I’ve partnered with non-profits serving orphans around the world.
Since moving from Nashville to Johns Creek a few years ago, I’ve served part-time as one of the Elementary School Ministry Associates at Perimeter School. I love spending time with my husband, Clint, and our three sons - James Henry (17), Eli (16), and Matthew (11). I also enjoy volunteering with Glory Kids at Perimeter Church, Mahjong, reading, and, of course, making lots of art!
I’m excited to return to the classroom and share my passion for creativity with your children. This year, we’ll learn about the elements of art and principles of design, explore art history, and work with a wide variety of media - including colored pencils, oil pastels, markers, acrylic and watercolor paint, papier-mâché, clay, yarn weaving, and much more!
Naomi Chapman-Noles - MUSIC
I have taught music to all grade levels in different schools since I graduated from the University of North Georgia in 2017. I have also directed church choirs and homeschool coop choirs, and I spent the '24-'25 school year teaching chorus to grades 5-7 at Perimeter School! My husband Joel and I reside in Cumming, GA, and we have been attending Perimeter Church since January 2024. Joel works for the church's technical production department. My greatest passion is music composition, and I am an aspiring musical theatre playwright and songwriter with three original musicals and more on the way! I am currently developing a studio soundtrack for my latest project, Campground: the Musical, with the help of talented theatre and church friends. I am excited to begin teaching music full-time at such a fun-loving, God -centered school. I look forward to exploring and educating each grade in a variety of musical genres and topics while joining the next generation in its journey with Christ.
Tiffani Stech - FIRST AND SECOND GRADE Nature Study
I am excited and honored to join the Perimeter School faculty and staff this year as the Nature Studies teacher for first and second grade! My husband Jay and I, with our four boys, moved from Illinois to Georgia 8 years ago, and we love it here! Jay and I are parents to Vincent (homeschooled), Everett (eighth grade), Xavier (fourth grade), and Calvin (second grade). Three of our boys currently attend Perimeter School, where we have been blessed to be actively involved in their education and have godly teachers walk with us and point their hearts to Jesus. For the last five years, I have served on the teaching team at Bible Study Fellowship, where I teach God's word to women while also training and equipping our leaders. I am passionate about Charlotte Mason's methods of teaching, and I can't wait to jump in and guide your children to see the beauty of God's creation within nature. My hope is that our Perimeter School families grow in their awe and wonder of God through His astounding creation that surrounds us everywhere we go.
STAN JESSEN - MIDDLE SCHOOL ROBOTICS
I met my future wife, Linda, in 1973 while stationed as a flight instructor in Meridian, Mississippi. We have been married for 51 years and have two children (Kyle and Laura). Both attended Perimeter School, and we have three grandkids (Ethan, eighth grade, Caleb, sixth grade, and Lyla, fourth grade) all attending Perimeter School.
My past includes a BS degree in Aeronautical Engineering and a BS degree in Mathematics. I worked as an engineer at Boeing on the 737 and 747 Flight Test programs. I joined the Navy in 1969 to become a pilot and received my wings in 1971. My tours of duty included:
TA4 jet flight instructor teaching instruments and combat tactics.
A7E attack pilot aboard the aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk where I flew, day and night, in good and bad weather (lots of stories about this).
Adversary pilot acting as the enemy to help pilots hone their air-to-air combat skills. Qualified as the Functional Test Pilot.
I left the Navy in 1978 and spent the next 30 years in the computer industry in various roles: programmer, software development manager, product manager, and sales engineer. In one of my jobs, I built a robot to do regression and wear testing on retail POS payment devices. In 2016, I founded “North Georgia Drones,” a company that provided drone services from simple aerial photography to technical missions to create orthomosaic maps, 3D imaging, spherical photography, and volumetrics.
Today, I still fly drones, but as a hobby. I also have a 3D printer that I enjoy using. I’m very interested in rockets and space exploration. I enjoy watching student excitement grow as they are exposed to new technologies. As a Naval Officer, I want to encourage them to explore the military service as a career option. Lastly, we are all created in the image of God, and I want them to appreciate the wonders of creation and see how amazing it is. I want them to begin to grasp His amazing handiwork in them.
