Young Families and Perimeter School equipping night - Hope Heals

Monday, January 28th - 7:30 PM - MANDATORY CAMPUS MEETING For Perimeter School Parents

We are excited to partner with Perimeter Church’s Young Families Ministry to have Katherine and Jay Wolf as the speakers for our January campus meeting!

When Katherine and Jay Wolf married in 2004, they could not have imagined how their life would unfold. For a few years, life seemed almost idyllic.

They were living in Southern California with their infant son, while Katherine was pursuing a modeling career and Jay was finishing law school.

But when Katherine suffered a catastrophic brainstem stroke in 2008, everything changed. Her survival and recovery, not to mention the flourishing of her marriage and family, have been nothing short of miraculous.

Today, the Wolfs work in full-time ministry together through HOPE HEALS, where they leverage their story to encourage those with broken bodies and broken hearts. Katherine and Jay will share some of the lessons they have learned while confronting shattered expectations. Be inspired by their story of not just surviving, but thriving, through life in Christ. Click here to learn more about the Wolfs’ story.

This event is mandatory for Perimeter School parents, but it's also a great opportunity to invite friends.

The Atrium Cafe will be open until 7:30 PM and will have dinner options (as well as beverages and snacks) available for purchase.

Click here to register your Perimeter School student for childcare. Click here to register your non-Perimeter School student for childcare. Childcare registration closes Friday, January 25th. Childcare is available for Perimeter School families only.

Cups of Conversation
For elementary Parents

Thursday, January 17th, 8:30 - 10:00 AM - Room C2086

As parents, we can all agree that so much of what we love about our special school are the distinctives that make it stand out apart from a traditional school setting. Our children enjoy narration, picture and composer studies, nature studies, and reading literature that is good, true, and excellent.

It is proven that for our children to get the most out of the unique and special education that Perimeter School provides, we need to be imitating these characteristics at home.

We invite all elementary parents to join Perimeter School mom Sarah Barber, Charlotte Mason educator Rebecca Little, and others for Cups of Conversation this school year as we dive deeper in to these distinctives to give you practical (and fun!) ways to weave them in to your every day home life.

Thursday, January 17th, 8:30 -10:00 AM: NATURE STUDIES

Thursday, February 21st, 8:30 -10:00 AM: READING GOOD BOOKS

Thursday, March 21st, 8:30 -10:00 AM: NARRATION

Thursday, April 18th, 8:30 -10:00 AM: SUMMER PLANS & BOOK SALE

Cups of Conversation will meet in Room C2086 on the second grade hallway. Please contact Sarah Barber or Rebecca Little with any questions.

Other Opportunities

Reading Help for students in grades 2-8

MindPlay is a web-based reading program designed to improve reading ability, written language skills, and reading comprehension. Through a series of quick assessments, the program determines each student's reading deficiencies and creates a personalized learning plan to fill in the missing skills quickly. Your child only learns what he or she does not already know. The lessons are taught by virtual reading teachers who coach your child through each lesson until mastery is achieved. If your child struggles with a lesson, the teacher goes back and re-teaches the concept in a different way. For more information, visit MindPlay.com, call 800-221-7911 or email info@MindPlay.com.
