Daniel 1:17 Program for DyslexiC Learners

Perimeter School's Daniel 1:17 Program for Dyslexic Learners is a specialized upper elementary program (grades 3-5) established for serving our in-house covenant students with diagnosed dyslexia. 1:17 classes offer a high-quality, comprehensive Orton-Gillingham approach, which is applied to all areas of Perimeter School's broad curriculum.

Multi-sensory instruction, encompassing kinesthetic, visual, auditory, and tactile learning, is used throughout every subject.

1:17 students receive necessary remediation in reading. Our desire and focus are for students to stay on grade level and be successful in the classroom, thus enabling them to transition into subsequent grade level classes, following a maximum of three years of remediation.
