Generosity
seek the Lord’s will for how He wants you to use what He has entrusted to you.

Generosity is one of the most beautiful ways a family can reflect the heart of God. Through our relationship with Jesus, He softens our hearts and gives us a willing spirit to be generous with our time, talents, and treasures. Do we have enough margin in our lives to offer our time when it’s needed? Are we giving our resources with joy rather than out of obligation? Are we consistently modeling open-handed living for our families?
Faithful Stewardship
Years ago, when my first husband passed away while I was pregnant with my daughter, the people God placed in my community were incredibly generous to me. My church family also modeled faithful stewardship. I believe generosity begins with stewardship and gratitude.
I encourage you to pray often about how to steward what the Lord has given you and how to use those blessings to bless others in your community. Our children notice when we give generously, and I hope it creates in them a desire to do the same.
As the year comes to a close, seek the Lord’s will for how He wants you to use what He has entrusted to you. How can you steward your time and resources in a way that glorifies Him and sets a strong example for your children? Be intentional about shaping habits in your generation that honor God through faithful stewardship.
“Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”
Hebrews 13:16
Be encouraged to lead your children toward a life of knowing and loving stories—listening, reading, writing, illustrating, and experiencing them in their own unique ways.
