The confidence to express who I am as a Christian started at Perimeter School.

What does it look like when a school’s influence extends far beyond the classroom? For our alumni, a Perimeter School education is not simply a chapter of their childhood - it is part of the story God is continuing to write in their lives. The seeds of faith, truth, community, and a love for God’s Word planted during their years at school continue to bear fruit as they pursue their callings, serve others, and seek to make a difference for Christ wherever He has placed them.

We asked several alumni to reflect on how their time at Perimeter School shaped their faith journey and continues to influence how they live, work, and participate in kingdom flourishing.

“I look back at my time at Perimeter School as not only a solid and faithful foundation for my faith and sound theology but also as a special place that has cultivated so many of my dearest friendships. ⁠⁠

As someone who values critical thinking, curiosity, and wonder, I believe Perimeter School helped ground me in biblical truth before allowing me to consider things on a deeper, more challenging level. Further, I think friendship is one of the kindest and most transformational gifts the Lord gives us. Because of Perimeter School, I met some of my most cherished friends of today back when they were in diapers or playing flag football during recess. As I've gotten older, I am continuously thankful for the seeds that Perimeter School planted and watered in my life.⁠⁠ ⁠”

“When I graduated eighth grade at Perimeter School and took the plunge into public high school, naturally, there was some culture shock … but overall it was a seamless transition. Not only was I armed academically, but I was spiritually armed with the Word. My foundation in Christ was solid, and I have Perimeter School to thank for that. Had I begun my grade school years in a public school (or any other school for that matter), I don’t think I would have had the firm foundation that was instilled in me from such a young age.

Perimeter School opened so many doors for me, such as affiliations with Camp All-American, Perimeter Church, and discipleship groups - all of which have led to countless friendships. Wherever life takes me and through any career moves I might make, my faith comes with me. The confidence to express who I am as a Christian started at Perimeter School.”

“Looking back at my time at Perimeter School, I can clearly see how the school’s initiative to serve the community has shaped my passions and future career. As an elementary and middle school student, I viewed service projects as a fun day of school! As I reflect on those serving opportunities, I can see how profoundly impactful and meaningful those days were on my life. I am a college student who wants to make a difference in the world through love, compassion, and service. Being an orientation leader is the perfect outlet because I am able to fulfill my innate desire to serve -  the same desire that Perimeter School instilled in me at a young age.”
