Alumni Spotlight: Ava Williams

The way that the Perimeter School family acts quickly to surround those who are hurting has always stuck with me.

By: Ava Williams, Perimeter SchooL ALUM

We recently caught up with several of our Perimeter School alumni, and we are excited to share with you how Perimeter School has influenced their stories and how God is using them for kingdom impact.

Our next alumni spotlight is Ava Williams, Perimeter School Class of 2014.

WHAT DO YOU DO? WHERE DO YOU LIVE?

I am a singer and actor, and I live in Atlanta, Georgia.

HOW DID YOUR TIME AT PERIMETER SCHOOL INFLUENCE WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU DO TODAY?

Perimeter School does an amazing job of putting an emphasis on the importance of the arts and how to glorify God through individual creativity. I wouldn’t have realized what I’m good at if not for the encouragement and excitement I felt to audition for the shows there.

"IF IT WEREN'T FOR PERIMETER SCHOOL, I WOULDN'T KNOW . . .”

If it weren’t for Perimeter School, I wouldn’t know what it felt like to grow up in such a tight-knit, uplifting community. During my time there, we saw a lot of illness and tragedy, but how the Perimeter School family acts quickly and earnestly to surround those hurting or struggling has always stuck with me.

IN WHAT WAYS IS THE WORK YOU ARE DOING NOW SPIRITUALLY AND CULTURALLY SIGNIFICANT?

The industry I am in is very self-seeking and discouraging, but I’m proud to always have the foundation of my faith to help me keep my head up in hard times.

I love getting to be a source of light and encouragement in every space and job I’m blessed with.
