Grandparent Reflections
Perimeter School is a blessing to our family.

Grandparents play a vital role in the lives of their grandchildren, offering wisdom, love, and encouragement that shape both character and faith. Their unique perspective allows them to see how education extends beyond academics and into the heart.
Below, grandparents of past and present Perimeter School students share how a covenant education has deeply impacted their grandchildren. These grandparents' testimonies remind us of the lasting value of passing down faith and guiding the next generation toward lives rooted in Christ.
“As a grandparent, there is no greater joy than seeing my grandchildren attend Perimeter School. I have noticed such positive changes in their confidence, integrity, compassion, character development, and most importantly, their deepening relationship with Christ. I can see how they love the Lord and have such great attitudes about school.
I love the fact that the school partners with parents in raising their children, reinforcing the values and beliefs taught at home. The environment at Perimeter provides not only academic excellence but also spiritual nurturing. The love shown and the example you set creates a lasting impression. The kindness of their teachers and friendships they have formed reassure that they are in a place where they are supported as students and growing in their love for God.” - Marlene Hedges, Grandparent of Perimeter School Students
“The covenant community is the core of Perimeter School, and we truly love that. It was a privilege to raise the most valuable gifts the Lord loaned us, and to attend a school with a God-centered curriculum alongside others who held the same desire for their children: to love and serve Him who loves them most. Of course, conflicts happen occasionally since we all have sin in common, but the desires of all to point our children to loving and glorifying Him fully and toward realizing how deeply they are loved by Him far outweigh any challenges that arose. Disagreements and resolving them provide an opportunity and a pathway to unity. We have zero regrets about the time and financial sacrifices made to send our children to school here.”

“It would be impossible for us to know the spiritual impact Perimeter School has had on them, but we know it is significant. While at Perimeter School, the teachers have challenged them to think biblically in all areas of their lives, even in history and math! And we see evidence of that as we have day-to-day conversations with them. The teachers have shown them how a relationship with Jesus is a daily walk, not just something you do on Sunday.”
- David and Kathy Carr, Parents of Perimeter School Alumni & Grandparents of Perimeter School Students
“There are so many rich benefits that our family has received that continue to impact our grandchildren. The friendships that developed continue to be life-breathing. Our daughter still has incredible relationships with the girls she was in elementary school with. They have continued to love, encourage, and do life with one another. I still meet quarterly for dinner with some of the moms I met through Perimeter School. We continue to pray for our children and our grandchildren.”
- Cheryl Stone, Parent of Perimeter School Alumni & Grandparent of Perimeter School Students
“We first heard about Perimeter School when we joined Perimeter Church and attended the annual Veterans’ Day Program. We were so excited to see how the school taught love of God and country to the students, and we were proud when our two grandchildren were enrolled. We have watched our grandchildren grow in their love of God among loving and caring teachers, coaches, and mentors. They were challenged academically and spiritually to develop the character of Christ, which has given them a solid foundation during their high school years. Perimeter School is a blessing to our family, and we pray that all the children who attend will grow in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.”
- Lou and Lauren Adkison, Grandparents of Perimeter School Alumni
“Perimeter School is part of our family DNA. I believe it helped all our children develop good study habits, among many other good habits as well. I have seen how comfortable most Perimeter School students are in speaking in front of groups. The friendships I have seen my son’s family make with other school families are priceless. I truly love most that it is a covenant school.”
- David Boy, Parent of Perimeter School Alumni & Grandparent of Perimeter School Students, Former Faculty Member
“The practice of covenant theology is real. Parents cared for and encouraged more than just their own children. The responsibility to teach and train our children is ours, but we had a wonderful team of support through Perimeter School teachers, staff, and the other parents in each child's class. Our kids, although they left the school at different grade levels, were well prepared for the next step.”
